Beauxhaus Co-founders Tamar Zak-Collins and Alison Zak-Collins

Tamar is an audio editor, SEO specialist, copywriter and digital marketing strategist with experience across a variety of media and online sectors. Having trained as a sound engineer at California Recording Institute and Pyramind Sound Studios in San Francisco, she was formerly responsible for daily operations of the communications department of the city’s leading audio-video event company, handling wireless microphones and other AV event communications systems. 

Amongst her comprehensive portfolio of digital marketing work, she currently offers her services as a B2B podcast editor, covering topics such as modernisation, technology, industry challenges, future growth and development.

Her creative skill set later navigated her career into book and magazine publishing in the United Kingdom, where she performed website copywriting, sub-editing, and journalism, intertwining creative narrative and strategic marketing. Tamar holds a Master's degree, with distinction, in Creative Writing from Cardiff University, Wales, which has fortified her skills in generating compelling content across various platforms.

Tamar's journalism and SEO copywriting portfolio includes both B2C work, such as film reviews and travel features, to corporate narratives covering topics like the Elizabeth Line tunnel cladding design, WICE (Women in Construction & Engineering) Awards, sustainability initiatives, eco-friendly architecture, and the pulse of new/emerging technologies.

With a prolific career spanning over twenty years, she has held senior management roles at top-drawer print and digital publishers, including the BBC, and has also worked within the commercial teams of leading women’s magazines, such as Harper’s Bazaar and ELLE.

She has spearheaded digital communication campaigns for a prominent global design partner, elevating the firm’s status as a leading voice in the industry and positioning them as a preeminent thought leader through successful content marketing strategies, including launching and producing a podcast that charted among Apple’s top design podcasts.

Alison believes in the transformative power of storytelling, understanding its capacity to invigorate a brand and breathe life into its identity. Central to her approach is a dedication to strategic social media strategy and management, where she masterfully connects brands to their audiences, fostering genuine engagement and deep connection.
